This June the 18th Mathew, my husband, is a father for reals not just daddy to our Shih Tzu. When Ross & Ross contacted me to see if I was interested in reviewing one of their man boxes for a Fathers day post I thought that was the perfect solution to my present finding problem! Obviously Mat has been given his present early this year as I really want to find out straight from the horses mouth whether this is something you should be picking up for your fathers and partners.
Ross & Ross are an independent company originating from the Cotswolds specialising in not only food gifts but also event catering. As they love to support local businesses they have collaborated with Cotswolds based suppliers to bring you the very best. They are also one of the biggest food sellers on Not On The High Street! This is definitely a gift for a man who considers himself a foodie.
My first impression on The Man Box was just how lovely the packaging is, every detail has been thought out to ensure the recipient knows they are opening something luxury, this isn't any old sausage. We opted for the Happy Fathers Day Man Box, this treated us to a selection of artisan snacks including Mr Trotters Great British pork cracking, our favourite of all the yummy treats. It's been a long time since we have tucked into some pork scratching and let me assure you this was not like anything you would find behind the bar in your local. Mr Trotters is triple cooked to produce a crunchier crackling.
I'm not a lager connoisseur by any means, I did take a sip and it tasted good but I don't really know what I should be tasting for. Mathew said it was a really good lager and from the speed that the bottle was emptied I think he was telling the truth.
After sampling all that The Man Box has to offer I can safely say that you would be top daughter if you treated your father to one of these culinary delights. I would 100% recommend a Ross & Ross gift this Father's Day.
What will you be buying this Father's Day?
Father's Day is literally right around the corner now and I still haven't bought Jack's gift! This looks like a lovely set though and Jack's not impartial to a larger or two haha! I will have to have a look at their options and see if I can get one delivered before Sunday, eek!
ReplyDelete'from the speed the bottle emptied I think he was telling the truth' - I am literally sitting here smirking at that!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a good gift idea, though! I'll have to keep this in mind for next year's fathers day - I think my dad would love it.
