Bedroom Tour - Go on have a nose...

If you are kind enough to follow me on Twitter or Instagram you would probably have heard me going on about my house move recently. It hasn't been the easiest thing this year moving house and being all bumpy and pregnant and stuffs however my new house is starting to come together, one room at a time.

I've posted a couple of snaps on my Instagram and received lots of love on my new furniture so I thought I would let you all know what I have picked up so far. The room is definitely a work in progress and is in no way finished, however I do hope you like what I've done so far.

I really wanted to fill my room with unusual items that would spark interest, I picked up the turquoise throw from a little store in Ilfracombe whilst holidaying. I was told it was hand made locally in Devon and they only had one available, which of course made me want it even more.

I love statement cushions, in my last house the bedroom was never really decorated and had a very masculine feel. Although I didn't want to completely emasculate my husband in his own room I definitely wanted to create more of a feminine edge this time round.

I found the chevron cushions from Dunelm for £14.99 it is really subtle but there is a little turquoise thread running through the pattern which really helps pull the whole colour scheme together. The embellished cushion is now in the sale (livid) it was originally £32 but now you can pick it up for a steal at only £16. The tassels really add texture to the bedding, and seriously who doesn't love a little bit of bling?

The real feature of the room in my opinion are the two draw nightstands by Chateau Chic from Wayfair UK. The distressed look gives them a cottage aspect and the different patterned drawers are striking. The delivery was free and fast I was super impressed.

Ever since I moved in with my husband seven years ago I have been longing for a dressing table. I was lucky enough to have one during my teenage years, and honestly didn't realise how much I would miss it. Especially in my current bumpy pregnant state being able to sit up a table and indulge in hair and make up time is the most relaxing thing. This one is another beauty from the Chateau Chic range at Wayfair, I am in love with the different details on the draws and it really is deceptively good for storage.

Everyone colour co ordinates their hair dryer right....?

I managed to pick up the shabby chic sign below while in Devon. Croyde Bay is where I spent my mini moon, we have been back three times since. It is a beautiful little village by the sea in Devon where we spend the most relaxing weeks with the dog in the sun scoffing scones. It is only right to wake up to a reminder of this place every morning.

This is such a random little feature in my house but I swoon over the cottage style doors. The little heart feature is so subtle but I personally think little details like this make all the difference.

Finally have a little picture of Ralphie, just because...

I hope you like what I have done with it so far. For now I am concentrating on the nursery but I will soon come back to finish off this room.... maybe with a gallery wall.
