Sleek Haul

After watching the gorgeous Sophdoesnails Kylie Lip Kit Dupes video on youtube I decided I needed to head to Superdrug and have a little splurge with Sleek. Sleek is a very affordable high street brand and I have always been extremely impressed by the quality of the products.

Unfortunately for me, just about everyone seemed to have had the same idea as the Sleek cupboards were bare. (insert crying emoji face) I have never ordered high street make up online however with every product retailing at under £10 I thought I couldn't really go wrong. So I took the plunge and this is what I picked up...

I have repurchased the Sleek Storm Palette twice so I thought, with Spring just round the corner, I should give the Sunset Palette a try. For just £7.99 you get 12 gorgeous shades, one of which is a matt black and perfect for creating a wing. I always prime my eyes before using eyeshadow so I would suggest some of the stay power is down to that fact, however they do seem to last all day.

I've been after a Translucent Pressed Power that can be taken on a day out for a while. I opted for the shade light however I do feel this powder has a slight orange tint to it. It comes with a sponge applicator which I feel applies too much product on a localised area, I prefer to use a large fluffy brush to gently sweep over the skin.

The Rose Gold blusher seems to be a bit of a cult Sleek product therefore I really thought as I was hauling it was about time I gave it a try. I am usually a cream blush kinda gal and I must say I do still think cream blushers last a lot longer than power, however I am really enjoying the slight shimmer in this blush. It is especially pretty for an evening look.

After falling in love with a Ciate Matt Liquid Lipstick I really wanted some more wearable colours that were also affordable. I opted for two fairly neutral shades Petal which is more of a pink shade and Birthday Suit. They are a very lightweight comfortable formula to wear, however the stay power isn't as good as the Ciate one.

The Eyebrow Stylist is the purchase I was most surprised with. I don't do too much with my eyebrows but I decided I should try and make more of an effort. The pencil is so soft it is very easy to get a great natural shape to your brows. I am still using a brow gel after to fix them into place.

So what do you think of Sleek? Have you tried any of these products?

    1. For £4.99 the Matt Me stay power isn't bad, but the Ciate one literally stays put for about 8 hours even with eating and drinking, but then it is triple the price!! Thanks for reading my love XX
